The Training & Resources for Early Education & Schools (TREES) Network is a space for delivering and accessing culturally appropriate training, professional development, resources, supportive circles and mentorship opportunities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous learning professionals working with Indigenous children and families.

By coming together across communities, organizations and cultures, we can impact the bigger picture of Indigenous education and policy in Canada, so that Indigenous children will grow up proud of their culture and knowing that they belong.

The vision of the TREES Network is for learning professionals to feel supported through training, resources and connections with others. The TREES Network strives to support learning professionals to ground Indigenous children in their culture, nurturing stronger communities.

Early Years Programming

The Early Years supports Indigenous innovation, resilience, and know-how by working with communities and organizations to co-develop programming that optimize early childhood development. This programming recognizes that each Indigenous community has its own history, demographics, geography, and culture. Taking a collaborative approach, the Early Years supports each community in building new programs or enhancing existing services to best meet the needs of its children, youth, and families.

As you explore the TREES Network you will see the products of the collaborative work such as the Early Years Toolbox and the EY-1 Courses. These resources are used in a diversity of innovative ways by our partners to support their children and communities everyday!
