1. Go to the TREES homepage and click Create an Account (top right).
2. Fill in your details (name, email, password, display name), agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and Create account.
3. Check your email and click the activation link.
4. Click Activate to confirm your account.
5. Click Login, and enter your email and password.
6. You’ll be taken to the TREES Network homepage, from here you can explore your custom Learning Hub and the Video Library.
The Learning Hub is the main area of the TREES Network website, where registered learners can access their learning resources.
From the Learning Hub, users can:
- access their online courses,
- view the latest videos from the Video Library,
- access their bookmarked videos from the Video Library, and
- participate in discussion groups related to their courses.
The Learning Hub serves as the central place where learners can manage and continue their learning on the platform.
The Video Library is a collection of training videos and learning resources developed with partner organizations. These videos cover topics related to family, educational and economic well-being, as well as other areas relevant to community programs and services.
Users can browse, search, and filter resources in the Video Library to find videos that are most relevant to their work.
Access to TREES Network resources is provided to users who are registered on the website through their partner organization.
Users may be assigned different levels of access depending on their role.
- Course + Library Access
Users can access:
- online courses,
- discussion groups,
- Toolbox resources, and
- the Video Library.
2. Video Library Only Access
Users can access the Video Library. They will not have access to courses, discussion groups, or Toolbox resources.
If you have been assigned Course + Library access, the courses available to your organization will appear in the Learning Hub. You can select a course and begin learning directly from your dashboard.
Some courses may also be assigned automatically based on your organization or role.
Yes. Your course progress is automatically saved as you complete lessons or modules. You can return to the course at any time and continue from where you left off.
If you can access the Video Library but cannot see courses or discussion groups, it means that your account has been assigned Video Library Only access.
If you believe that you should have course access, please contact your organization’s Group Leader or Trainer.
The Video Library includes search and filtering tools that allow you to find videos by topic, category, or keyword.
These filters will ensure that you are able to quickly locate videos that are relevant to your learning needs.
If you cannot find a video:
- Try using the search bar or filters in the Video Library.
- Check related categories that may contain the video.
Contact your Group Leader or Trainer if you believe the video should be available.
Users with Group Leader or Trainer roles have access to the Group Management section of the website.
Through this section, they can:
- register new learners from their organization,
- assign appropriate roles and access levels,
- support learners taking courses through their organization,
- review and assess assignments or projects submitted in courses,
- evaluate participation in course discussion groups, and
- provide Video Library access to community members who do not require course access.
Group Leaders and Trainers can create new user accounts through the Group Management section of the website.
When creating an account, they can select the type of access the user should receive. Depending on the role assigned, the user will receive access to courses and partner resources or access to the Video Library only.
