The Learning Hub is the main area of the TREES Network website, where registered learners can access their learning resources.

From the Learning Hub, users can:

    • access their online courses,
    • view the latest videos from the Video Library,
    • access their bookmarked videos from the Video Library, and
    • participate in discussion groups related to their courses.

The Learning Hub serves as the central place where learners can manage and continue their learning on the platform.

The Video Library is a collection of training videos and learning resources developed with partner organizations. These videos cover topics related to family, educational and economic well-being, as well as other areas relevant to community programs and services.

Users can browse, search, and filter resources in the Video Library to find videos that are most relevant to their work.

Access to TREES Network resources is provided to users who are registered on the website through their partner organization.

Users may be assigned different levels of access depending on their role.

    1. Course + Library Access

    Users can access:

    • online courses,
    • discussion groups,
    • Toolbox resources, and
    • the Video Library.

    2. Video Library Only Access

Users can access the Video Library. They will not have access to courses, discussion groups, or Toolbox resources.

If you have been assigned Course + Library access, the courses available to your organization will appear in the Learning Hub. You can select a course and begin learning directly from your dashboard.

Some courses may also be assigned automatically based on your organization or role.

Yes. Your course progress is automatically saved as you complete lessons or modules. You can return to the course at any time and continue from where you left off.

If you can access the Video Library but cannot see courses or discussion groups, it means that your account has been assigned Video Library Only access

If you believe that you should have course access, please contact your organization’s Group Leader or Trainer

The Video Library includes search and filtering tools that allow you to find videos by topic, category, or keyword.

These filters will ensure that you are able to quickly locate videos that are relevant to your learning needs.

If you cannot find a video:

    1. Try using the search bar or filters in the Video Library.
    1. Check related categories that may contain the video.

Contact your Group Leader or Trainer if you believe the video should be available.

Users with Group Leader or Trainer roles have access to the Group Management section of the website.

    Through this section, they can:

    • register new learners from their organization,
    • assign appropriate roles and access levels,
    • support learners taking courses through their organization,
    • review and assess assignments or projects submitted in courses,
    • evaluate participation in course discussion groups, and
    • provide Video Library access to community members who do not require course access.

Group Leaders and Trainers can create new user accounts through the Group Management section of the website.

When creating an account, they can select the type of access the user should receive. Depending on the role assigned, the user will receive access to courses and partner resources or access to the Video Library only.

The Training & Resources for Early Education & Schools (TREES) Network is a space for delivering and accessing culturally appropriate training, professional development, resources, communities of practice and mentorship opportunities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous early learning professionals working with Indigenous children and families.

By coming together across communities, organizations and cultures, we can impact the bigger picture of Indigenous early education, child assessment and policy in Canada, so that Indigenous children will grow up proud of their culture and knowing that they belong.

The vision of the TREES Network is for early learning professionals to feel supported through training, resources and connections with others. The TREES Network strives to support early learning professionals to ground Indigenous children in their culture, nurturing stronger communities.

    ACCESS TRAINING

The TREES Network supports access to culturally appropriate training and professional development for early learning professionals through the Understanding the Early Years course and Early Years Toolbox workshops. View upcoming trainings and workshops for your community through the Events Calendar.

    EXPLORE RESOURCES

The TREES Network supports access to the Early Years Toolbox website, as well as access to accompanying resources through the Early Learning Library. Your access to resources is determined by your organization or community affiliation. Explore the Featured Partners page to view resources created by and in collaboration with Early Years partners.

    CONNECT WITH OTHERS

To promote relationship-building and relational learning, the TREES Network provides opportunities for early learning professionals to build connections across the country. You can check out the Events Calendar to find events related to the early years, view the Interactive Map of early years services in different regions, or learn more about Supportive Circles as spaces to come together with others locally or across communities to share thoughts, ideas and support.

    CREATE IMPACT

The TREES Network strives to create spaces through which we can collectively impact the bigger picture of Indigenous early learning in Canada. Learn about how Early Years sites are doing this through Early Years approach innovations, and about the important work many other organizations are doing to influence policy, curriculum, access to funding supports and program evaluation.
